[Ceramic tungsten technology

The membranes of the K series are manufactured in a complex process. The molecular structure of an aluminum cone is converted to a 20% ceramic structure and refined with tungsten particles. The result is a membrane with an optimal stiffness to weight ratio and improved internal damping.

Connection terminal

The high-quality connection field with four gold-plated all-metal screw terminals is suitable for cable cross-sections up to 10 mm2 and special cable lugs. This enables a secure, long-term stable connection.

Housing geometry

The acoustically optimized housings with organically curved baffles offer a significantly improved radiation behavior. The solid construction of high-quality 50 mm multi-layer laminate sets new standards in terms of stability. Here, the characteristic bow shape of the housing is milled in a special process consuming from the full material.

Crossover
In the reference 1 K and 3 K crossovers, the low, mid and high frequencies are discreetly separated. Only selected components without any tolerance make it to the low-resonance mounted circuit boards of the speakers. This is not just about the distribution of a sound signal, this is about sound-building measures.

High-end internal wiring

The cable routes inside the housing are reduced to a minimum. The cables themselves were specially developed for the Reference K speakers. The design with special core and six twisted single conductors per phase ensures optimal sound transmission from the connection terminal to the chassis.2

Surfaces

The elegant, high-gloss surface finish "Piano Finish" is applied in 12 steps, sanded and lavishly polished. It gives the cases of the Reference K series an overwhelming depth effect. Acoustically optimized two-part fabric covers with magnetic fastening complete the noble appearance confidently.

Manufacturing quality

We develop and manufacture the speaker systems of our Reference K series in-house. Only in this way can we maintain the necessary quality standards, eliminate fault tolerances and meet the high sound requirements of our top products.
